Robert Juarez is studying mass communication in journalism at San Joaquin Delta College.
During his five semesters on staff at the college newspaper, he was promoted to editor-in-chief. He also served as entertainment and sports editor. As entertainment editor, he won a photo illustration award from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges. Last year, he was invited to co-host a sports radio show on campus. He also took a multimedia class where he learned to shoot and edit video. Robert recently began freelancing for the Lodi News-Sentinel. He hopes to dive into sports writing and tell stories of the competition and drama that has drawn him to sports since childhood.
