Marianna Sousa

Marianna Sousa

Marianna Sousa is a communication student at Sacramento City college. She is a graduate of the Maynard Institute of Journalism’s 2016 Sacramento Voices Program. She believes in the importance of guided self-healing through intense dialogue and kitchen table talk. Marianna facilitates workshops dedicated to that healing for leaders, activists and artists who seek to create lasting social change. This work has led her to understand the power of storytelling. Her goal is to travel widely as a public media journalist and to create a show that expands her healing work to a global audience. She is thrilled to participate in NPR’s NextGen program.
